SPEAKER:

Eric McWhirter

Eric McWhirter graduated from Tulane University, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and has over thirty years of experience. He is a seasoned product development veteran with expertise in product design, process design, engineering and tool room management, quality control, technical marketing, product management and sales. Eric was a Product Manager for Victaulic and was responsible for directing the development and growth of flexible drops. He was also a Victaulic Technology Manager for fire suppression products and directed the recent technology development of the VicFlex product line.

SYNOPSIS:

Flexible Hoses 101 focuses on the history of flexible drops and how modern innovation is revolutionizing this fitting category with new technology. Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to: Identify the various designs of flexible hoses and comprehend the important differences in how they perform. They will be able to recognize and inspect properly installed flexible hoses, understand their hydraulic performance and be able to locate the proper technical support information, all in an effort to show that flexible hoses are an important component in fire safety.
