Thomas Chiang SFPE Memorial Bursary - UPDATE
In 2006 the SFPE SOC announced their intention to boost the funding level of the SFPE bursary to $20,000 so that it could continue to provide meaningful financial assistance to deserving Seneca College Fire Protection Engineering students.  This was in conjunction with the renaming of the bursary to The Thomas Chiang SFPE Memorial Bursary in honour of one of our previous SFPE SOC presidents and his strong support for Fire Protection education and his role in creating the Seneca College SFPE Bursary.  At this point $1,100 in donations is required in order to realize the $20,000 goal.  The SFPE SOC executive has decided to create an opportunity to allow SFPE SOC members to voluntarily add $5 or $10, or more, to their monthly meeting fees or annual membership fee.  All funds raised in this fashion before the end of 2007 will be directed to Thomas Chiang SFPE Memorial Bursary.  Your participation is appreciated and all receipts will reflect the inclusion of the voluntary contribution.

For more details on the bursary, click here, and click here for a note from Mrs. Cecilia Chiang.
