SYNOPSIS:

The Vaughan Press Centre is a 700,000 square foot printing plant built in 1992. It is the largest newspaper printing facility in Canada and one of the largest in North America. It prints the Toronto Star, National Post and part of Metro, plus several other smaller papers. Its six printing presses can print up to 60,000 newspapers per hour each day. The facility has a sizable HVAC system, with close to 5,000 tons of chilling capacity, 1.5 million cubic feet per minute of air handling equipment and a sizable building automation system. The building houses several types of fire protection systems including dry sprinklers, pre-action, FM 200, AFFF and CO2.
